Olivia's Christening is at the end of May, I think it's 5 wks on Sunday and I'm panicking about what to wear! I'm lucky in that my pregnancy belly is easy to hide as it's practically gone now.... it's the post birth over indulgence flab I have to worry about
Have you got Braydon's and Rubie's outfits? I was looking at a lovely dress in Mothercare but it was £38 without any cardigan or shawl. Maybe I could hire a dress?
Sarah, why is a dress unsuitable? I can't wear a dress as I'm bf so I'm looking at a skirt and top or trousers and top. Knowing the weather round here (we're 600ft above sea level) it'll be quite chilly so I think my safest bet is trousers and a nice top.
Have people been asking you what to get Braydon as Christening presents? I hadn't even thought about people buying gifts. Lots of people are asking if she is collecting anything? I thought she's a bit young?! Does Braydon collect anything? Maybe I'm missing the point? I haven't been to a Christening since my nephews 9 years ago and can't remember much about it!
bunnykins china is really nice as a christening present. You can get plates, bowls, cups etc and I used mine when I was a bit older than a toddler, about 4 ish. Its really nice and classic.
I wore white trousers and a floaty top with spagetti straps for jessicas christening. I had a jelly belly. I think a dress sounds lovely. You wear what you think is appropriate, its your sons christening, not your mums.
