Kicks

Hi All,

Happy valentines day!!!

I was wondering if when your baby kicks if it is quiet painful, for the last few days i have been getting a sharp pain that comes and goes straight away around where i know the baby is and I am not sure if they are kicks. They are quiet painful and can take my breathe away??/

It doesn't sound like my experience of baby kicks but it could be one of those things that is different for everyone

When baby kicks it is like being prodded. To begin with they are gentle nudges. I don't know if you have a cat. My cat would sit on my belly kneading away and baby would kick back and it felt like the same sensation, just in different directions They are getting painful now sometimes, especially when he kicks in my side, but that is because of the power of the kicks and I can feel that they are kicks (punches, headbuts, elbows, whatever ) You can really see the painful ones - OH looks a bit like this when baby is having a good session as I get pushed out a good few centimetres! And the pain isn't so very sharp - it's like being prodded.

It sounds more like you have stretching pains to me.

Whatever is causing them I think you shoud have some of these

Didnt think they sounded like how everyone else describes them but they take my breathe away!!!

They probably are just stretching pains and it is me wishfully thinking they are kicks as I still havent felt anything
