keeping cool..

Just wondered how you were all coping with keeping little ones cool, I've just had mine stripped to her nappy and kept all the windows open! I know we only have a very small number of hot days a year in this country but do any of you have any tips???

Mobile airconditioning unit! It's a godsend, we keep it in his room so that even though he is hot anywhere else, when it comes to nap time he can go into his cot and it's only 19 degrees in there! I don't know what we would do without it because our bedroom was 32 last night!

Mobile air con wonder if i can talk OH into buying that for us, it gets so hot in our flat

We've got the patio doors open so the breeze comes in. At the mo i've taken her nappy off and laid her on the floor to get a bit of air on her, but she wants me to hold her! She's too blooming hot!

We had a bit of a storm earlier so the rain really helped cool the air for bedtime but.... it's gone all muggy again so it's just nappy and very light blanket (to be kicked off and replaced by me at least 4 times an hour all night) x

Its not that hot here

Mind you its pretty warm and on sunday when I went to pick up oran from his grandmas where OH had taken him he was dressed in shorts and tshirt, fair dos I thought till I got to my mums went to change him and the poor kid had a bloody vest on as well - MEN are crap at dressing LO's, he went to dress him after his bath last night and he had gotten out a Vest (dont know what his obsession with vests are!) and his winter PJs I had to step in and put the vest away and put his shorts & Tshirt PJs on!!

It's the opposite in our house, oh would happily keep her in just a nappy in all weathers and accuses me of being obsessed with vests but I don't know what it is i just think she looks too 'bare' or something! I am givcing in to his naturist ways in this weather though.... I also have a thing about shoes/bootees being neccesary with a fully dressed baby buit that's a completely different story..........
