Keep being put off names.

I can't have anything like 'Kate' - School bully issues (yes I'm now 30...)
No Cara, Tara or Zara as Tara was OH's ex and the others are too similar, also, I wanted Zara for years and my boss named her LO Zarah in June this year...

Flora, OH says 'no it's spread' so I'm like 'wtf you wanted Bree'...... That's a cheese!!
Scarlet/tt, recently discovered a girl with this name bullies my Goddaughter.

Phoebe or Jasmine, we used to have cats with these names.

Amber, can't have Amber Mae after cousin this year used Audrey May....

Really hope this means I will have a boy, no problem with names there.

Oh, except when I mentioned Tristan to Mum, she said it sounded like a black name  seriously, never expected her to come out with something like that for one thing, but for another it's a Cornish name, used in Arthurian legend FFS!!

My mum surprised me when I was pregnant too, initially we wanted Hunter for a boy, and my prim, proper mother, who never ever swears comes out with 'oh no, he might get called C*nter!'

I nearly fell off my chair

It's definitely best not to discuss names beforehand (SIL liked one of our girl choices and announced she had 'reserved' it for future use). I would try not to listen to anyone telling off their kids for a while
