Just wanna say....

Thank you to everyone for being so nice and welcoming on this site, ive had bad experiences with parenting forums before and swore blind i would never run one or join one again, was sick to death of all the bitching and backstabbing and general nastiness

Its so nice to finds somewhere where its ok to have an opinion and everyone seems to listen and take your point into consideration never had that before

I agree with you Jo. Some are plain awful!

The first site I joined where all very nice until someone found out my age and made a point that i should be in the 'Teenage Pregnancy' section even though I was there for support from loosing my Baba. so alot of abuse later, I moved to another who were serious religious types who rammed their beliefs down everyone elses throats. So I gave up for a while and I've got to the stage now where I'm going a little insane on my own not having anyone like minded to talk to!

Glad I joined here though! Not seen a nasty comment about anyone or anything yet!

Aw hunni know what you mean the forum i owned turned so nasty it was unreal i had a member literally tear strips off a young mum because she wanted her baby in a routine! some of the nasty things this mum said (and an older experienced mum i might add) were heartbreaking i think i'd have slapped her if she'd have been in front of me!

I try not to judge anyone for anything i have friends who had babies at 16 friends whove lost babies or decided on terminations and i would never judge anyone glad ive found somewhere the same xxxx

But instead I had links to help me out sent to me, and links to birth stories from other ladies who have had home births Even when I said about wanting to go to Amsterdam I didn't get any nasty comments x

I'm well chuffed I've found this place! I've ended up with some pretty set views on how I want my child (when we finially get our BFP) being brought into the world and how I'm going to raise them. My OH completely supports this but I've always been slightly worried that I'll be scrutenised for wanting a home birth (especially when my OH is most likely still going to be away if we manage to get P before he goes) and to then be a SAHM and to breast feed and co-sleep and at least try BLW and the lot!
If we try it and it doesn't work for us so be it, most of the people on those othersites don't appear to have even tried what alot of people on here have atleast given a go at whether they liked the original idea or not....... I don't know if I'm making any sense anymore or what but yeh... It's pretty open here and thats the best tbh. Can't be doing with bitchyness and aggressive responces to people for no reason!

If you're after a home birth keep an eye out in August for my birth story There's another home-birth story on here from last year as well. I had a read and tbh that's what helped me make my mind up xx
