It says you can hear the heartbeat from as early as 8 weeks! I am sceptical about that as most women on here with them have said 11 weeks. But I am so excited. I think it is arriving tomorrow and I bet I try it out anyway.

Anyone else got one? If so when did it first work for you?

Becs

P.S The only down side is the price, not cheap!!

I have got one but it isn't this oe - hope it works for you! Cant believe you are nearly 9 weeks already!

Neither can I TotsHope, and look at you! 10wks 5 days already  Have you had a result with your doppler yet? :D

I had one which looked similar but I didn't get a good reading until about 14 weeks, so don't worry if you can't hear anything yet - it can take awhile.
Congratulations on your bfp!

I bought a really cheap one - it was only £30 inc postage - Life Sounds - (Looks like the angel sounds one), I bought it at 13 weeks and could only hear the heartbeat faintly - now it sounds like a galloping horse and I have to turn the volume down!

Its amazing being able to listen whenever you want!

Try not to panic if you cant find it straight away - It took me ages! and sometimes I still struggle now!

Good luck with it but just don't drive yourself crazy if you can't find the HB. At 9 weeks the baby is still very low down in your pelvis so it may be very difficult to pick anything up.

It was an Angel Sounds one I bought for about £40.

I heard my lo's heartbeat at around 12 week. It was very difficult to find and hear to start with.

Have fun using it. xx

Thanks for the warnings over not being able to hear a heart beat yet, I kind of thought that would be the case. Not that I'm impatient :wall:

Anyway it just arrived here at work and I couldn't resist smearing a little gel on and sneakily having a go in my office with the door closed. God knows what I would have done if someone had walked in :rotfl:

Anyway you'll all be very pleased to hear that............... My heart beat is very strong... I am obviously alive and in good health

Might have a go in a few days time at home.

B xxx

Bet bet is to have a full bladder like as if you're going for a scan i.e. 2 pints an hour before if you want to hear it early. I got mine clear as a bell at 11 weeks with LO but then I didnt buy it till 11 weeks so might have heard earlier if I'd had one!

I could hear my heart beat which is always re-assuring!

As for the babies i could hear swishing but not a lot else. Mine says it wont work till 20 weeks so not freeking out just yet!

That's very similar to the ones Midwives use! It's really hard to get the HB at first but you'll get the hang of it, but like the others said don't get too frustrated if you can't find it :)

I have just ordered one off ebay after reading this thread. It is our wedding anniversary on friday so thought it would make a nice pressie for DH.

Okay, I'm going to have to really recommend this now. I tried it out last night and then this morning and I got some readings. This morning the heart rate was 138 and I could hear it too. I think it is supposed to be between about 140 - 170 at 9 weeks so close enough. I know I am going to become addicted now :D

Aw how lovely Becs. Can't wait for mine to get here now....
