how do you know how many oz baby has had off a breast?

do you count it or just guest a rough estimate

ive always woundered

how on earth would you count?! you just let baby feed til they're done, no fannying around with working out oz or anything!!

im breastfeeding and i just let tegan feed till shes finished once shes stopped feeding from one boob i offer her the other if she doesnt want it i start the next feed from this boob x

I get about 5oz in 15 mins off the pump but he takes about 25mins to empty my boob. I presume he'll take the same(ish) amount?

I wouldn't have a clue how much Oscar has. I can only express about 2oz max ever and I know he has more than this. No idea how much though. It doesn't feel like any more than months ago and it must be!

yeah if you express you can count lol didnt think of that but they same the baby gets more than you can express dont they because a baby is better at getting the milk out??
