Hey Everyone,

I've only been a member for a few days....and I'm really happy to be joining you all in the 2nd Trimester section!

:cheer: :cheer: :cheer: :cheer: :cheer:

I will try and get my 12 wk scan photo up...

Just wondering if any of you got really paranoid for no reason at this stage? I relaxed after the 12 wk scan and now I'm worrying endlessly that everything will be OK with the baby. (I have had two previous m/c but they were much earlier and I never got to the point of seeing a heartbeat).

I looked on the net and the stats for MC at wk 13 are really, really low....like 1/300 but yet I'm still feeling really worried !

Someone just give me a smack and put me in a bag and shake me up I might be OK then.

Having a bit of a problem when I'm in bed at night and that is that my hips hurt. I lie on my side and if I don't fall asleep soon enough the hip I'm lying on starts to hurt!

Anyway, great to be here. :D

Dawn

Hi Dawn

I was like you but you've got to relax now, go and get something for LO and really enjoy it!

Hi there,

I was like this too, still am sometimes... but it's completly normal to worry.
You're in 2nd tri now so hopefully things will calm down a bit for you.
Hope you enjoy your time here

Hello and welcome to the forum and 2nd tri.
Now is the time to relax and put your feet up xxx

Hey Dawn,

Great to have you here! Glad you finally settled in :D Try to relax and enjoy this part, I know it's hard, really hard to think positive now. I'm struggling too

Chances are (like you said) everything is perfectly fine and you can now count down the days til your 20 week scan!!

Lovely to have you here xx

I didnt even expeiance being in 1st tri and worrying,
because i found out so late...

I worried in 2nd tri though before my 20 week scan

And even a bit now....

Sure everything will be fine with me and you though :)
Lets hope so anyway

Hello and welcome

I had a previous miscarriage at 12 weeks, so really worried this time until got 12 week scan, felt ok for a wee while but paid for a private scan at 16 weeks for reassurance. After my 20 week scan I felt much more relaxed.

Thanks everyone :)

I've had a really emotional day. For some reason I got all panicky earlier and pretty much had a full blown panic attack (which I've not had for about a year)......I really hope that things like that don't affect the baby....

I'm really cheered up by this thread though :D :cheer: :cheer:

Thanks for the hugs

As for my sore hips....I found a tempur mattress cover (one that goes over your own mattress) for a bargain price in a local shop so I'm thinking of buying it tomorrow. (its £50 reduced from £80)

 hello we're due on the same day! :cheer:

Hope you feel you can relax abit soon its very normal to worry but wont do you or baby any good, sorry to hear about your panic attack perhaps a trip to doctors will help maybe they would let you listen to heartbeat or something to try and help you realise alls still ok! You could buy your own doppler to listen to babies heart beat but im personally not going to do that because its so easy to not be able to find heart beat especially this early on and dont want to panic myself unnecessarily!

Hello Dawn
Have a happy and safe Tri2, and on the sleeping issue, have you tried relaxation music? It's quite powerful if you go with it and give it a go, very best wishes, hope it eases for you soon

 Hi welcome to the 2nd tri. :cheer: :cheer:

just to let you know...I have the hip problem too when laying down or sitting in certain positions. It's just on my left side and mainly starts when I lay on my back. I don't think much can be done about it as it's to do with your joints loosening up for baby. I have to lay on my side all the time now and it still hurts when I get up in the morning. I can manage with it, just hope it doesn't get worse. It's started affecting the left hand side of my back now-supposed to be getting a phyiso appointmnet but not heard anything yet. Hope you get your sorted-maybe ask midwife??.
:D
