hey everyone, in relation to a post of ISOFIX, the travle system we are looking at is the
Jane Slalom Pro Rebel
http://www.mothercare.com/gp/product/B0 ... 1&mcb=core

i love it, we were going to get it in black. but after discovering its not isofix, OH thinks it it s no,no and that we need one with isofix base....

i was wondering does anyone have this travlesystem, and how easy is it to fit the car seat.

i will be taking it in and out the car, when we go out, and using the travle system as a pram for the first 6months. . . is it really that much of an effort to remove and fit the car seat again????

sorry if this is all gabbled and makes no sence, hehe

Thank you for reading!

Awwwwwwwwwwwwwww i WANT this travle system! lol

I've no experience of what it is like but I am going through the same thing but I want the Nomad base.

Would you then get a Jane car seat too? Where you looking at the Matrix or the Rebel?

I've posted a long detailed reply to your other thread.

I'm a bit clearer now though as you don't want the Rebel Pro infant carrier but the Matrix cup :D

Quickly here (but please go read my main reply in the other thread) I'd say get the Matrix set up etc (but not from Mothercare as they are blooming expensive) and get a totally different and longer lasting car seat to leave in the car. Therefore using the Matrix as your pram and then sit up buggy only. Not as a car seat.

And btw, there is no 'black' The Stylon colour is a dark navy. I know as we have one :) Stylon Jane Slalom Pro - click here (cheaper also

We felt the same as you and wanted the travel system and found it easy to compromise to still have that but have a decent car seat that will last for 4 years. So we win both ways and got the Jane :)

BTW its worth ordering the non standard colours early as we found a 2 month delay on the Stylon shipping from Spain.

Agree with Sherlock.

We have the Slalom Pro + Matrix cup and will be using this on the pushchair as the carry cot and in the car as a lie flat car seat for when LO is very young. Once LO needs the car seat upright I will then stop using the Matrix Cup as a car seat and swap to my Maxi Cosi car seat. The Matrix Cup can then be used as an upright in Hubbys car as it fits his (it wouldn't fit mine as seatbelt not long enough).

We decided to go for the Maxi Cosi as opposed to something that will last a bit longer (the Britax SI which Sherlock has) because we would like to have LO number 2 fairly soon after so figured we could use the maxi cosi for number 2 and buy number 1 a newer one that will last till an older age.

Hi

We bought the slalom pro with the matrix pro lie-fat car seat/auto cot.

The Matrix pro lie-flat seat is IMO not suitable for a newborn as the seated position is far too upright!

We were lucky enough to find a very cheap Rebel Pro car seat in a closing down sale at a local nursery store. The Rebel pro is very similar to the maxi cosi really, I really liked it! It has a nice rocker function too which is useful for keeping LO's asleep!

When Maia got a bit older and it got a bit heavy carrying her about in the Rebel Pro I started using the Matrix Pro, but left it in the car rather than putting it in and out each time.

Now she's older the Matrix Pro is really good, its much bigger than normal baby seats which means she can stay rear-facing for longer (good for safety)

We have the Slalom and bought both the Matrix Cup and Rebel Pro car steas. We intended to use the Matrix Cup as the main car seat for the first few months but after trying to sort it out when leaving the hospital and getting VERY stressed, we have decided to not bother with it and go with the Rebel Pro.

We would obviously rather that Luke was able to lay flat in his car seat but to be honest, I just don't like it and he looks safer in the Rebel at the moment.

We don't leave him in it for long though as I just hate him being couped up in a car seat anyway.

I'd recommend the pushchair though with the Rebel Pro. They're fab! We have the blue/green one.
