Update: I went back into the hospital yesterday because I'm up all night crying in pain. My skin is now red raw from my chin to my feet.
At first I rang Triad, to see if a midwife could see me, and the midwife I spoke to was so unhelpful and was going to just leave me to suffer. Telling me that I need to just keep taking the antihistamines and using the steroid cream as suggested and I basically need to wait it out.
I was in hysterics on the phone to her but she just didn't care. She told me that because my baby is healthy, I'm classed as low risk.
I called my mum and told her what she said and my mum wasn't happy at all, and called them herself and basically said that my mental health is being affected by being up all day and night crying and feeling so low. So the woman said that she could get an appointment with a consultant if I just wanted to "have a chat".
So we got an appointment at 2:30 yesterday and I saw the same consultant I saw the other day, and another consultant who both had another look at my skin, and they agreed that it was the worse case of P.U.P.P that they've ever seen, and that they definitely need to do something about it.
One of the consultants checked with a dermatologist who wanted to induce me yesterday, but the consultant didn't want to as I'm only 35+4, but they did prescribe me a strong steroid cream and told me to up my dosage of antihistamines.
Also I've been taken off midwifery led care and I'm now in the care of the lady consultant that I saw yesterday. She said that she'll review my case next Tuesday and they'll more than likely get me booked in to be induced either at 38 weeks, or earlier.
This has made me feel quite relieved. Because I definitely couldn't go another 4+ weeks of this.
I will keep you all updated anyway.
But thanks for everyone's advice and support. I really need it at the moment
