I've Finally Done It!

I registered on Netmums ages ago but never did anything with it! I've been on today and have arranged to meet another mum and go to a Mother and Toddler group!
I am absolutely terrified!!! I don't do well meeting new people! I am incredibly shy! But it will be good for me and Angel so i did it! I only have to do it once but it's a big step for me!

Hun, I know exactly how you feel! I am also painfully shy, to the point I will avoid situations if it means I have to talk to new people sometimes But I also did the same thing last month, and met a local mum from netmums. I felt really awkward at first, but Im glad I did it now, and we have now met up several times In fact Im meeting her tomorrow, and she is meeting a couple of other ladies from netmums too, so more new people to meet Im scared! Sure it will be fine though, we are all in the same boat, so I try to keep reminding myself of that when I get all bothered by it Good luck, hope your meeting goes well x

Aww thanks! Just don't let me come up with a stupid excuse and back out of it! That is like me. I hate the fact i have no friends but i won't do anything about it!
Shaun is encouraging me to go as he is desperate for me to sort myself out and stop being so depressed all the time!

Good for you. I went to my first netmums meet up last week and actually enjoyed it . I'm not normally shy meeting new people as have been doing evening classes for years and had plenty of different jobs but as I've been stuck in the house since May was a little nervous but it was fine. Good for Connie to get out and she was exhausted after and slept all afternoon (which is unusual for her). Going again this Wednesday. I even learnt something from one of the other mums on how to give a baby medicine in the teat of a bottle .

I put myself on Netmums a while back, had LOADS of lovely replies......and chickened out of meeting every single one of them

Ive put myself back on there now and im gonne make sure i do meet up with anyone who gets in touch.

I pushed myself to go to a couple of groups near me, and i love them now It does me good to get out, and seeing Iz enjoy herself makes me want to go more.

I had to cancel coz of the poxy snow!!! Was really looking forward to it too! Angel would have loved it! But it was too risky driving in it.
