Ive bought some internet tests after debating for a day weather to buy them or not. They will be coming in the post in about 3-5 days. They are the Ultra Early 10miu Pregnancy tests, think I ordered 10.

Only thing is i'm not sure when to test because I have come off birth control and have never had certain amount of days for cycle because AF was always all over the place with implant. My first day of last AF was 11th August and we bd'd on the 16th and 18th...(been too tired since then, OH on lates at work again ) See I have no clue about ovulating or anything Any advice on when to test would be very appreciated

If you're anything like the rest of us you'll be testing even when you know it's too early or too late just because you can't resist

Were they pregnancy tests or OV tests?

I have recently (June) stopped bcp so am not sure what is happening re: ovulation etc so have bought a load of OV cheapies and test daily until things have settled down. They don't cost that much something like £4-5 for 25 or something from fertilityplan on ebay so it doesn't cost a fortune!

an average cycle is 28 days so you could test 1st september which would be 28 days and also two weeks since you last bd'd so if you did have an average cycle then 18th august would have been when ov was due so 1st september would be when af is due, if BFN and no period then test again a week later, but if you last bd 18th august and you ov'd a week later then you're extremely unlikely to get a BFP.

Might be worth getting some ebay cheapie ov test sticks and use them until you get to know your cycles as you'd definitely know when af is due when you know when you've ov'd.

Thanx everyone, and thank you mrs metal, it seems to make a bit more sence now you have explained it a bit...feel like such an amateur (sp?). I'm just gonna bd and see what happens, I don't want get too much into it and buy ov sticks too it would drive me mad, I don't know how some of you are so patient lol. If 18th is when ov was due they yay because we bd'd that night and I stayed lying down and what not Well the tests are on their way and i'll most probably test too early but that will just make me fit in here all the more haha
