You know them scratch card game things in magazines and stuff where you always win, and the prize is guaranteed to be a holiday or something?

We all know it's a catch right, but what happens if you actually try and claim your 'prize'? Is it real? :?

I'm not going to, I was just wondering

You would probably win the holiday....but there is always a catch. It would most likely be one of those holidays they use to try and sell you time share, usually very high pressured!

This happened to a girl I used to work with, she won a 2 week cruise and was so exited, but came back really stressed because they had been under constant high pressure from sales people

They do usually say on them that they are an advertisment so there are strings attached. Also in the small print it costs loads to actually ring up or text to register your win.

They are tempting but they've got bad news written all over them

You win a free holiday but have to spend £150 per day in the hotel restaurant

i think the catch is the amount you have to spend on the phonecall to claim your prize number- even to send it off by post you need your claim number first and the only way to get it is to ring the phone number-its like 1.50 a min for 12 mins or something! and then i bet as the others said its a timeshare or some con!

It's usually that you've won "one of these amazing prizes" and the prizes are

A new car, a plasma TV, £5000, £50 worth of vouchers for a holiday etc

then you look at the small print, look at how many of each prize there are...

car x1, TV x 1, £5000 x1, vouchers x100,000

THEN you have to call the premium number to find out what you got.... guess what it's most likely to be.

I rung one once (when I was a lot younger) and I think I won a photo frame or a keyring or something and I was so pissed at them for keeping me on the phone so long that I just hung up on them after finding out that was all I had won.

My friend rung one, because the prize was guarenteed she was bound to get something.
Anyway she spent 10 mins on the phone at £1.50 per minute and it said her prize would be with her witin 7 days, she was so excited.

It came and it was a packet of seeds .......... lmao
Proberly about 20p from the garden centre.

i think u listen to a 10-minute recorded message at premium rate, and then win the rubbishest prize- which is like holiday vouchers with loadsa crappy restrictions on them so u wouldnt wanna go anyway! they so not worth it! i rang from work's fone once when i was bored the message went on foreva then i won something poo with an extortionate p&p price!
