It's official I'm pregnant but what happens now?

So I had my appointment with doc yesterday and she has now reffered me (approximate 8 wks pg)-I'm presuming to the maternity unit at my local hospital she said I'll get my letter through the post in 2 weeks but I'm just anxious to know what happens next docs was a bit fast so my mind has gone blank do I get appointment to see midwife 1st or will it be appointment for scan...I'm confused!

Hi hun, it is all quite scary and overwhelming at the beginning but don't worry , you should get your appt with the midwife first then scan date will be after. I got my dates at the same time in the post, and my dating scan was the week after my 1st midwife appt . Xx

I posted in your other thread, and I agree with scottishlassie, you should get both appointments through at the same time, you wont get a scan at your first midwifes appointment.

I just can't wait I'm so impatient at times! Finding it quite funny in work everybody keeps commenting how skinny I look and have I lost weight dying to tell them but want to wait till I've at Least seen the midwife not gonna be this skinny for long so getting the most out of my new diesel skinny jeans my oh bought me the other week
Tell u what this lil bubba likes givin me a stitch can't wait till sickness passes too and almost burst into tears last night coz OH hadn't cleaned up when I was workin
I'm just so excited for my appointments to come through xxx

Congrats its exciting and nerve racking going to your first midwife appointment. Hope you have a happy nine months well seven if your already 8 weeks. xx
