Its been 9 years!

Hi guys, or should that be gals?!

To cut to the chase, it been 9 years since i had my son and my husband of 4 years have been trying for at least 18 months without success. It sounds silly but its been so long since i was pregnant i cant even remember what symptoms i had in the first few weeks.
Anyway, my cycles have always been on and off. ie, 30 one month, 32 the next etc. It normally averages 32d. I am now 4 days late from my predicted period. (been using fertility software for past year) I do not have the normal sore breasts and without being vulgar, for me, i could always tell when my period was here as i would get a constipated feeling in my bum! Anyways, the thing is my nipples feel almost "wet" that is the only word i can describe the feeling, not fully tingling but certainly the feeing like they are wet or leaking or something. Also a few twinges in the abdomen. Any ideas would be appreciated x

are you 4 days late from your predicted 32day cycle or 30 days??
and have u thought about testing??
all us would have tested a million times by now

hey, well my last period was 36 days ago, and i normally average 32 days a cycle. As i said iv been using an ovulation calculator and period thingy to keep track based on over a years worth of cycles and try to make some sense of them as ive never been clockwork, I gave up using ovulation tests as they never seemed to go positive! Didnt want to test too soon and also dont wanna get my hopes up! Or my husbands! I think he is feeling a bit derelict recently as its taking so long.

I would test for sure! First response or clear blue digital should give you a positive result at this stage of your cycle. Good luck honey fx for ya!

Yeah i know Im gonna have to! But my husband works away weekdays and wont be back until Friday nite and I would like to wait until hes back! eeeek! The unknowning is too much!! x

without going into too much detail, i just visited the loo and noticed a thick white mucus! Thought at first this was period but nothing. Just this thick discharge! anyone else ever had this?! thanks x

Sorry if the mucus thing was too much! lol just seemed unusual! Anyway, still no sign of period and i couldnt wait any longer so went and bought a predictor test. That came out negative!! Perhaps im testing too soon. Will have to see what happens over the wknd. My husband says to wait 2 weeks! Waaaaay too long! x

well still no sign of anything, longest cycle ive ever had is 34 days so im a few past that now and never skipped any periods in the past. This limbo thing is terrible!!! can anyone recommend best preg test the predictor one was pooh i felt as the control line wasnt even that bold so test line was never gonna be easy to read!! x

Sorry your in limbo hun, I think our bodies should just "ping" or something & let us know

I think the first response are supposed to be quite good as you can use though up to 6 days before your period but on same hand, one of our girls on here used one & was a faulty test so up to you

Or see if you can order some extra sensitive ones, which pick up at 10miu whereas the branded ones is normally over 25miu - Try on Amazon or eBay & with some, if ordered early enough will be delivered very next day

Thanks for the info Kezzamunster - im a bit confused today. still no period and now a week late. Had menstrual type cramps and a pressure in my lower abdomen since Tuesday, lots of clear, fluid, vaginal discharge, tingly breasts, sex drive in overdrive! also totally knackered.

I did a clear blue test which didnt give a significant result. Thought i could see a very faint line but still unsure. Just did a first response one today and zilch! This is doing me in now! Has anyone else had these symptoms before a positive test? I also have a strange twitching/virbrating kinds sensation in my right groin! Hope this info can help someone make sense of what is going on with me! Im starting to think im going crazy!

Oh hun, still in with a chance until the witch arrives

You could possibly have low hormones level as depending on how long implantation of the egg takes & where in the uterus it happens depends on amount of HCG that's produced

So don't give up hope yet hun, positive thoughts & just think Christmas day is round the corner so it could be a shy BFP

when i fel pregnant with alfie i was 9 weeks before i got a bfp, and i tested regularly and with branded tests too hun so your not out untill AF gets you and i hope she doesnt!!
its hard waiting i know im a but there is nothing you can do but wait, try occupying your self.... yeah harder said than done right!!!
