had to share this one.....

i went for my anti d injection, and as i was sat in the room waiting to go in, baby started dancing or something and elbows sticking out everywhere, so i was rubbing it, this lady turned to me and said how far gone are you, which i relplied

'34 weeks + 1' ( i refraned from telling her hours and mins )

and way i asked the same back, she said

'oh me i have no idea i lost count' ??!!

so i asked when she was due, to which she replied;

'sometime in feb'!!

so i thought everyone who was pregnant knew exactly how far gone they are??!!! surely your on the countdown?! and is it really hard to go from week to week??

exactly, but even with out them she should know??!!
it was her second, but i cant imagine you loose the enthusiasim no matter how many children you have!!

having said that with my 3rd child i didnte tell a sole till i was 21 weeks and not even see a doctor or midwife, the only one who knew was my sister and she grassed me up to my midwife who practically ran me over one day and asked if i had something to tell her (rumbled) but even then i only saw the doctor once to register and saw my midwife a couple of times near the end to check all was ok.
I think for me i was a bit embarrased that it was my 3rd child in 3 years and knew i was gonna get all the OMG comments

claire, i know think i only had to look at my diary once to check date and only that was because my husband got me doubting!!

i even say oh i have 5 weeks and 7 days left!!! hehe i know it is 6 weeks but i prefer 5+7

39+6 today!! sorry just felt like celebrating the fact that its 1 day to go!!

I always know how many weeks I am - sometimes I don't know how many days however! Since finishing work I rarely know what day it is (OH works shifts so has random days off so its not like I am even working towards the weekend!)

At my appointment with the midwife yesterday she asked how far along I am and I said 37 weeks and a few days. She looked at me a bit oddly and I had to admit I had no idea what day it was but I was 37 weeks on Sunday so if she could tell me what day it was today I could work it out for her!!

I always kew how many weeks and days I was- I was obsessed! A girl at work was pregnant at the same time as me but she was about 10 weeks behind me- I would ask her how many weeks pregnant she was and she's shrug and say 'I dunno!' I got really excited about every little event in my pregnancy and couldn't really understand someone appearing to be soo fippant about the whole event- especially as it was her first baby! We're all different though and I'm sure she thought I was totally insane for being so obsessed !
