eva is sick alllll the time. i mean constantly not just after bottles. I can never take her bib off and everytime she burps she is sick. If i bend over to get something when holding her she is sick. I have to tilt her backwards slightly!

It has settled down alot now that she has little bits of porridge/cereal on a morning but she is such a sickly baby.

think i should go to the doctors about it? i've just thought she was a sickly baby from birth but maybe it is reflux?

sounds like reflux Dior suffered with it as a baby but has grown out of it i didnt take her the docs, but Harley has had it bad, i went to the docs and he confirmed it was reflux i got gaviscon for him to thinken his feeds so it dont come back up as easy.

i spoke to my HV and she told me that 30mins after giving Harley a feed to try and keep his proped up and not move him to much as any movement he will bring sick up. iv learnt to live with it now.

But i think at evas age they might not give much not to sure hun?? but the main thing they care about it the sickness is not making them lose weight? pm sami she has gave me soooo much advice with reflux i seen damo the other day and every time i spoke to him he was sick lol

can be soooo messy though i am constently changing Harleys clothes

thanks hun. eva isnt that bad but i'm constantly changing her and her bibs. i'm quite good at catching it but everyone else lets her get soaked cos it takes them by suprise!

ino there are a few things to avoid when weaning too with reflux babies, im sure sami said some thing about tomatoes... ask her she will lwt you no x

Sounds like it to me, I agree PM Sami or tracym as she has given some good advice about reflux.

It sounds like reflux, but doctors are right gits over it - might be worth giving it a shot though if your doctor is half human.

http://www.pregnancyforum.co.uk/forum/v ... php?t=6503 is a thread from back in February with loads of good tips

When you're weaning, avoid anything acidic as it tends to make the reflux more painful - oranges, tomatoes etc. You might notice other foods which trigger it. Callum still has his reflux but as he's got older he's learnt to manage it himself - chocolate is his big trigger.

OH took him Alex out on Saturday and bumped into a neighbour from where we used to live. She's a bit of a silly cow. She asked if she could pick him up for a cuddle, Stuart said 'yes, of course' knowing what would happen. Carrot and brocolli all over her  it has it's advantages

sounds like reflux to me... ruben is better now he has some solids, but is still sick alot. thankfully not enough to not put weight on! the worst thing for me was the pain from the acid reflux, once he was on medication for that i could cope with the sick! btw he has come off the medication completely now he's on some solids! yay

have a word with the GP, but be warned: they WILL try to fob you off!

Ella is EXACTLY the same, Iv thought for ages that she has reflux but as she is healthy and gaining weight the docs wont tend to do anything about it at this age. It has calmed down a bit since her starting solids and Im hoping she will grow out of it completely soon, but I know what you mean it is a nightmare her clothes are always covered in sick actually so am I, and the sofa and the floor lol!

The clear stuff they bring up is great for cleaning quarry tiles. We've pulled up the lino from the kitchen to reveal the original black/red quarry tiles. We've tried *everything* to get them looking lovely, but they still look old and worn out. Alex was sick in the kitchen last night, Stuart never bothered cleaning it up, so I've done it this morning and the bits he was sick on look marvellous  Hate to think how painful it must be bringing it up if it can do that to quarry tiles

Petchy, how many solids is Ruben on? We're on 3 meals a day now and he's still just as sick, but it's getting harder to clean up now

tracy, he's on 2 small meals a day: breakfast and dinner. i am holding back a little until he's closer to 6 months. know what you mean about the clear stuff they bring up... poor mites...
