I a feeling really down about how Ill I feel. I know I a so lucky to be having a baby and am so over the moon but I feel so ill all the time. Its really getting me down. So much so that I cant stop crying as I a begging myself to feel better. It starts from the second I wake up and doesnt go till I fall asleep. I know everyone goes through this but its so bad that y OH cant even cuddle me as it makes me throw up! :puke: Not him, having anything touching me  This is meant to be the happiest time of our life but it doesnt feel like it. I feel depressed, tired, sick and just down all day long

Awww, Kerry, I know how you feel. I was absolutely desperate for this baby and I feel so so guilty for complaining about anything but I'm sort of getting a bit fed up with feeling awful every day all day now too. I haven't had a hot meal since the end of December because of the nausea and I look terrible. I haven't done anything remotely fun in ages because I'm too ill for fun. You've just got to keep thinking that it will be over in a few weeks time.

No one is allowed to reply to this thread saying they were poorly throughout their entire pregnancy. I've got a book and it promises me we'll feel better by week 13, most definitely.

Yeap, right there with you. Nearly at week 13 now and really hoping it's going to stop soon!

After 2 mc's really cherishing this baby, but like you said the sickness gets you down sometimes...weather doesn't help! Sure I'd feel better with some sun on my skin!

OSCAR scan tomorrow so will be thrilled to see my LO, but still feel RUBBISH!!!!

Poor thing, this doesn't sound nice at all.

I think it does get quite a bit better, I felt dreadful a few weeks ago, and was like you in tears because I just felt like sick and kept on throwing up. Now, in the last few days I just feel so much better.

I'm sneaking in just to try and reassure you that it will soon be a distant memory.

Thanks for all your replies and  today seems to be the worse day so far but am just trying to be positive xxxx

Hi there,

I'm just over 6 weeks and I too am feeling dreadful, I sooo know where you are comming from! I am glad to be pregnant but i just wish i could enjoy it. I have been off work for 3 weeks now as I am sick every day and they say they can't have me in. At this rate I may not be able to go back for another 6 weeks, I'll be climbing the walls! I never thought I'd say this but I wish they'd just let me go in for a couple of hours in the aftenoon when I am ok but they say that I can only come back when I am capable of doing what I was before the pregnancy. There is only so much Jeremy Kyle a girl can take!!!!!

I am so sick of feeling sick! I am such a foodie normally but there has been a tub of chocolate fudge brownie icecream in the freezer for 2 weeks now and I can't bring myself to touch it. I hate feeling like this :(

www.morningwell.co.uk

It's a CD, costs £19.99 + a pound or so P&P and its supposed to work wonders. You need to listen on a CD player, I've lust ripped mine to Itunes and put it on my Ipod but its not protected so will go on any MP3 player.

The NHS ran trials and it worked in over 90% of cases including hyperemesis.

I don't know if it works cos I'm feeling relatively stable. but my sickness comes and goes so as soon as I get it again, I'll stick the CD on.

My due date is 12 sept and my first baby too. I feel ur pain! I'm just so sick of being sick, tried the ginger nut biscuits but can't even bear to look at the packet now :puke:

 Agh I know that too! I'll try someting and it'll be ok so I think, ok here's something i can eat. 3 days later I hate the thought of it, ginger nuts, rich tea biscuits, lucasade, lemonade, rice crispies, banana milkshake.

I hate not wanting to eat and having to force myself, usually I am a human hoover!

I suffered quite bad sickness up until about 16 weeks. The normal things like peppermint and ginger did nothing for me at all, the only thing I could keep down was dry cream crackers. One thing my MW did suggest was placing something ice cold at the back of my neck whenever I felt the urge to be sick. I used a cold pack, bought 2, always kept them in the freezer. Obviously this was something that I couldn't do whilst at work, due to type of work it would have been totally impractical, when I did do this at home, it actually worked. :cheer:

It may help, worth giving it a try.

Yum - your due the same day as me. date was put forward!

Thanks everyone for all advice. I have had to take the day off work and I promissed myself I would not let this prenancy affect work but it is. Just cant keep anything down and feel awful all day and night!!! xx

Mine has really taken hold. I tried that CD I mentionned, it was ok but in the evening I felt sick and listened twice and it didn't work.
I've been ill again today and threw up outside the car door.

Ah hun you poor thing. I have found that nothing works. Its just one of these things I guess. I had some cereal this morning and just tried to eat a ginger biscuit and have been heaving ever since. not fun! xx

Oh goodness you are all poor things! :(

In pure despatation I went for accupuncture today. I have no idea if it will have any effect but I have to admit that I feel a lot better now than I have done in some time. Whether that is psychosomatic or not who knows. All I know is that I'll try pretty much anything right now

I had bad morning sickness until about 13 weeks, then mild morning sickness for the rest of my pregnancies. It does get better, but at the time, week 13 seems so far away. I found the only thing that worked for me was diet coke.

I do remember being pregnant with my 1st and throwing up in Boots because I had just walked past a kebab shop that stank of stale grease and garlic. The poor lady in there felt so sorry for me! It was a really hot summer too. I defo think morning sickness is worse in the summer than the winter.

My friend also swore by sucking a lolly pop whenever she felt sick. I tried this and it does work. Sucking helps stop the gagging reflex. Good luck x
