Is this a positive OPK?

Hi all,

I’ve been away for a week and stupidly forgot to take my OPK tests with me to see the build up of LH! I got back yesterday and last night I done a OPK which I think is positive and then I’ve just done another and it’s completely negative with no line at all. Does this mean I ovulated yesterday or the day before? I’ve been having a couple of ovary pains here and there on Friday and yesterday but mainly Friday and then today I had some thick white creamy CM (Sorry for the TMI!) I’m just really gutted as I have been trying with my fiancé for a few months now but not really paid any attention to the OPKs but as I’ve been getting impatient I wanted to start doing them to have a clear view on when I’d be ovulating! My last couple of cycles have been 26 and 27 days long and Friday would have been CD15! Any info would be appreciated! Thank you x

If you're not doing an opk every day it's hard to know. Ideally the test line should be as dark as the control line. You ovulate 12-36 hrs after a positive test though so you could still be fertile. Creamy CM is fertile but the sticky white stuff isn't. If your cycle is 26-27 days you are likely to ovulate on or before cd17 (latest) and probably earlier cd12 onwards.

I never got a clear build up of LH, the day before the positive it would get darker and the day after it would be darker than the control line. The next day I would get negatives, so it was easy to miss.
Egg white cm or watery cm is the most fertile, creamy or white cm is not fertile cm. X

Hi Kitana,

I’m pretty sure that i ovulated yesterday or Friday as I done another opk around 12pm today and it was a lot, lot fainter than the picture I posted and that was done last night around 8pm! I Dtd Wednesday and Friday so I’m praying this months my lucky month! Also, I had EWCM from around Tuesday to Friday so fingers crossed. Thank you for the post! Xx

Thank you for your reply Sunflower1!

I Dtd CD 12, 13 and 15 so praying that it will be enough! Pretty sure i Ov’d over the past 2 days maybe 3 and I’ve never done an OPK and had it as dark as the line In the pic I posted so fingers crossed! Thanks for the help x

Usually you OV the day after a positive opk. I've had it though that in the morning, I had a positive and OV'ed in the evening since I can feel it.
Your body produces a peak of LH so that the ovary gets stimulated into releasing an egg. Some people release it 24 hours later some even 36 hours later. So looking at your post, you ovulated yesterday or today!
