Is there anything else i can do to help my poor baby?

Hi Ladies

Jessica has had a nasty cold for quite few days now and is not getting much sleep at night. I'm giving her calpol, rubbing Karvol on her chest, she has a tissue with olbas oil on in her room, i put the nose drops in and put a rolled up blanket underneath her mattress at the top of the cot. Is there anything else i can do to help my poor lo, i just feel soo helpless and she soo needs some good sleep.

Sounds like you are doing just about everything you can luv!

You could try sitting with her in the bathroom, windows and doors shut and turning on all the hot taps so it gets sauna like. My mum did this for me when I was a baby, I had bad asthma, but the steam really helps the mucus shift. Maybe try it before bed and see if it gives her any extra relief?

i think you are doing everything hun.
you could try one of those oil burners with the karvol but
its probably just as effective using the karvol and olbas on tissue-
hope she gets better soon x

Boots sell snot sucker outers for £6 but very effective. They are little funnels that go up babies nose and you suck on an attached tube and the snot comes out.

They are beside the baby nail clippers and stuff.

Best £6 we have spent 8)
