Is it too early to start buying things like nappies or wipes, baby lotions, etc.? I got a newborn starter kit from mothercare with wipes, lotions, cotton buds nappies etc. but my sister thinks it's too early as some of the things might dry up and cause rashes. I checked most of the dates and it goes up to 2009, but is she right, should i wait a bit?

dont worry. Theyll only dry up if you open them. If thee dated 2009 then itll be fine. On the back of the lotions there is a symbol of a jar with an open lid with 6m or 12m written in it. This is how long the wipes and lotions will last once opened. Hope I helped! :)

it wouldn't hurt to start keeping an eye out for bargains.... I have been walking up and down the baby aisle of tescos etc.. for months looking at and comparing all the special offers etc....

We only actually bought consumable type stuff - wipes, nappies etc... in the past couple of weeks the nursery has been set up, cot built since about easter!

I'd start stocking up amazing how many things LO will get through.
Look out for bargains on baby things, 3 for 2 deals and buy one get one free on wipes etc....don't fret about the dates on them too much 2009 in ages away and if you don't open them chances are things like sudocrem will last way past then anyway.
