I was about to create a Thread like this!!

Keyaan has only just started this routine about a week ago (before this he would be up every 2-3 hours
NOW I am AMAZED his routine is awesome!
He is 11 weeks, (12 on wednesday!) and well over 16lb!!

I'll start from Bathtime coz thats how i remember it lol

Bathtime 7-8pm, 8oz bottle. Sleep by 8pm
Wakes up between 2-4am has another 7-8oz bottle.
Sleeps til 6-7am.
Plays on his mat for an hour or 2, get him dressed then sleeps from about 9 or 9:30 for 45 minz.
then between 11 & 12 he'll nap till about 3 or 4..
Then i keep him awake till his bath again at 7,playing and singing with him, slowly getting him prepared (undressing bit by bit)

This works perfectly for me! leaving me with "ME" time between 8-10pm, great stuff!!! I'm so lucky, but must admit i had a ROUGH time from birth, he refused to sleep for the first 10 weeks, lucky to get half an hour in the day, and having 2 hours in the night.. ZOMBIE was not the word, but he seemed to adjust himself, and turned into a much happier giggly baby! xxxxx

omg nikkie a 3 hour nap - thats fab!!! Id love that - we've got 1 hour max here n I have to decide whether to do housework, eat, shower or sleep, lol...but better than nothing xxx

awwww. i was like that in the beginning, as soon as i'd turn the shower on he'd start whimpering.
I've just move him in to his own cot in his own bedroom so in the afternoon he wakes up but after 10 minz falls back to sleep because he knows he still tired, or use a dummy (i don't like that ive had to use one but it works unfortunatley) and rock him for 5 minutes, i try to leave him as long as possible without eating as he sleeps a lot better once he's drank the whole bottle, i find if i feed him straight after he's napped, he only has a bit then gets aggitated because he's still tired but not hungry enough to have a whole bottle, so it's a long process trying to settle him.
He's turned into an amaazing sleeper But i feel like i've lost my little play buddy in the afternoon's now, never know what to do with myself. haha. But when i kept him in his swing to nap in the afternoon the telly and me would disturb him, and he wasn't as giggly and smiley because he was still cranky

Well - ive just re read my Tracey Hogg book and followed her scedule today and Austin is now having a 1 hr 45 min nap!!!

The first book had no times , but weirdly in the 'potty training' one it has the set times for a 4 mnth old and it seems to be working.

Fingers crossed.

omg - 2 hour nap!!!

Mind u ..... he has woken 3 times stirring and crying a lil but sent himself bk off to sleep.

Think in the past Ive been too quick to rush in...but when hubby is here ...hes the king of ' just leave him a minute n see'

Wooop woop! 2 hours.

haha, yeah i wouldn't wait longer than a minute before, now i know if he wakes up crying he's still tired, if he wakes up and gives me a smile, he's done napping and wants to play. lol.
Usually takes him 5-10minz to get bored and nod back off.

yep....key is not to jump up as soon as they make a sound...cos quite often they will take themselves back off to sleep. i can tell if she wakes crying that its a tired cry, so i wait a minute and 9/10 times she will go back over. obv i know th difference of a distressed cry, so then i would go and investigate x

Male - 7 months - sleeps 7ish until 7ish. & 3-5hr naps during day.

My daughter was the exact same apart from no naps during the day because I wasn't putting her to sleep like I do with Kayden, I was waiting until she was tired...hense...she never napped.

Kynon is male and 8.5 months I put him down when he goes, normally 8ish but last night was 1am (you did read that right!) then he wakes every 2-3 hours and is bf.

He's never slept through or even half slept through! He's happy though just don't sleep!

I put him in bed with me now! Only way I can get some sleep as I couldn't bear to let him cry that's worse for me than being tired. I also remind myself its not for long in the whole scheme of things, they grow up far to quick!
