My friend is preggers at the mo and we were both wondering how it is supposed to be carried with each sex, i mean we've both heard different stories but i heard that with a boy its a neat little bump and with a girl you put weight on all over is this the case or have we got it mixed up??

My sister & best friend were 9 weeks apart & they both put on alot of weight all over. My sis had a girl & my friend had a boy.

What I have noticed with my friends in the past is that if the bump is quite high up underneath the breasts then it has always turned out to be a girl, if the bump is very low then its a boy.

To be honest though I dont think any theory works and most people are purely guessing, lets face it they have a 50/50 chance of getting it right!!

There's not 100% proof of a baby's sex before they are born unless you have an amniocentisis... But then thats just silly to have one for that purpose... even the scans can be wrong..  Can't they midna... :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

I carried all round with Tia and yes she was a girl....yet this one is all front... was supposed to be a boy but seems like its a girl now... there's just no telling... I have another friend who looks like shes a month further along than me and she's actually 6 weeks behind... she's carrying all over and its a boy...

How you carry depends on your muscles and stuff, nothing to do with the sex of the baby

I'm having a boy and I have put on a huge amount of weight and my bump is mostly at the front. xxx

I've read that the way your bump is defined is more to do with your stomach muscles and the shape of your uterus.

I had a typical boy bump, low and neat and all out at the front.

With my boys my bump was all at the front, with my girls i put weight on everywhere especally my hips!!
