Is anyone else plus size and TTC? Am I alone?

Hi I'm a newbie

I hope I'm posting in the right place.

I'm a mummy to my beautiful little boy, who's now 2 years and 4 months. I'm 24 and my OH is 34 and he has decided that we should start trying now for a brother or a sister. I'm really excited but worried about my weight I've lost 7lbs in the last 2 weeks! Anyway I've decided I don't want to be pregnant nov/ dec/ jan because i'm terrified of swine flu, I know some people won't agree but it really worrys me. We have ttc this month but I'm not sure when to start thinking about taking a pregnancy test ( tracked my cycles on my mobile, I've just got a new one and my OH decided to bin my old one!) If I remember rightly my cycle fluctuated between 28-30 days, but i'm not 100%. So I guess i'm due from today but waiting is driving crazy!!
I would love to here from everyone, I haven't got any friends to talk to

Well I wouldnt call myself thin........ Im a size 18/20 and have only recently started TTC Im hoping my weight wont be an issue but Im bearing it in mind if in a few months things dont happen. My Hubbie is not so slim himself so we are both working on it but not obsessing over it (i know we should be making and effort anyway for our health!)

Good look on your journey and well done with the weight loss and please share your secret of how you have done it?

Maybe_mummy - I'm glad to hear I'm not alone! I'm a size 24 bottoms ( I have an 'apron' from my last pregnancy) If my apron was chopped off I'm sure I'd be a size 18/20. All I've done is added lots of fruit and veg to my diet and I've been exercising, the fun way !!

Mrs_wigglez - I'm sure you'll have no problems, there are people out there that are far larger the we are and have had no trouble ttc!

yeah fingers crossed it wont but only time will tell if i hit the 6mnth ttc then i will go on a serious diet to shift some weight but at the moment im going slowly - swimming and walking to work and lots fruit and veg xx

Do I count? I'm a curvy 14 - 16 and desperately want to lose some weight before I get pregnant again. I had started a diet in the build up to xmas and then got pregnant and it all went out the window. But now i'm not anymore I was thinking I would try and drop a couple of stone before getting pregnant again. But I am excessively lazy and have a very sedentary job (literally dont move from my desk all day). So I know this is going to be a challenge but would be brilliant to have some people to do it together with?

I worry about my weight well more my body after pregnancy I have a friend who put on 5 stone but she was a big girl anyway and another whos put on half and snapped back into shape suppose i dont want to be left with a massive saggy belly. Im trying to loose weight now before I concieve but think If/when I get pregnant how can i stop pilling on the weight?! I know the obvious eat sensibly and gentle excersise but i hate my belly now never mind afters!!
