is 21 lb Huuuuuuuuuge for 8 months

jodie is 8 months and 1 wk and weighs in at a wopping 21lb is this normal im to embarassed to get her weighed at clinic. I personally think she is just a bonny baby but many people comment. she is very long too. and is in larger shoes than she should be me and her dad are chubby but wouldnt say obese. and we are both 5ft odd not giants. whats you opinion she doesnt look abnormal she still cute.

Don't worry hunny, every babies weight & height are different & as long as she's healthy it doesn't matter what her weight is.
Just to reassure you but at Jamie's last weigh in at 8 months he weighed in at 25.1. He's still on the 98th centile but he's very tall and very slim, especially now he's crawling all over the place & pulling himself up & standing.
The H/V won't tell you off or judge you so don't be embarrassed about taking her to be weighed.

all three of mine weighed 21Ib on their first birthday.

Actually Bethany my second youngest weightd 19Ib on her first birthday (just checked the red books )

all babies are different though and develop and grow at different rates so don't worry. Ive never had chucnky monkey babies! all mine are long and thin as latts

Formula fed babies can pack it on quicker but if the HV isn't worried you shouldn't be.
