Internets Impact

Just reading threw a few topics and posts and i see quite a lot of people either met their partner on the internet or hit it off over the net...

Well its the same for me, met her through internet, met up with her with a few others, exchange msn then hit it off over msn

Anyone else do it that way?

I didnt meet my husband over the internet! As he is 36 he doesnt really have time for msn!

yep, i talked to my husband constantly for 2ish weeks on msn before we met.
i know people will say im stupid because "i didnt really know him" even though if i walked down the street and started talking to him he could lie just as easily there than on msn lol. (not that he did lie but some people just think every one lies on the internet and every ones trying to groom every one else)

Yeh, its wierd. People say its 'just the internet' and its not real life etc...

Which to a certain degree is right... i mean they could lie or anything easily

But i think if you see them on webcam etc to confirm they are who they are.. you can kinda get the kist of what they are like after speaking to them for hours a night for months

Compare that to being with someone in person and just chatting general crap

I think through most forms of technology such as EMAIL, MSN, TEXTING etc you can really open up and get to know someone...

Its just so much easier to express your self as apposed to face to face...

Origanally spoke to my OH online via the work I do he had the same interest for his own business & was having a look through competition as you would call it.

It was a public forum belonging to the company & as I admin that forum (don't own it) I've arranged a couple of meets & well he came to one & we hit it off better than we did on the PC

I met mine at work but it turns out he was already my friend on myspace he reconlisged me but i didnt reconlisge him
