Ingrown nail?

Just discovered what looks like an ingrown nail on my 7 day old boy’s finger (pic attached). Has anyone had any experience on how to treat (I’ve found some stuff on google but looking for advice here as always!). It red and swollen too so likely a little infected? Thanks x

Another google suggests impetigo. Dh then me had similar looking sore on our finger and assumed ingrown nail but impetigo is contagious so could be that

I’d take him to the docs to check it out? X
