Hello lovely ladies..........

NOw I am out of 2ww - darn witch on her broom. But luckily after sweeping me up I am sure she has no room left on her broom for anyone else!!! hehe!

so I am CD one now and feeling very grumpy about it... poor husband when I get home from work, I already know Im going to be miserable towards him - I blame his spermies! hehe only joking!

So what advice can you ladies give me to increase my chances of conception. I have 26 days cycles - like clockwork. I ov on about the 13/14 day (smilies on digital opk both cd 13 and 14 this month) so therrfore have a shorter luteal phase than most!

What can I do.......... supplements, if so what ones??????

Any advise would be greatly received!

Oh and this is going to be my new symbol for DTD - poking!! :poke::poke::poke:

Royal jelly is excellent for strengthening your uterus, also promotes egg evelopment and depending on your age coenzyme q10 is good aid for producing good quality eggs. That and your normal pregnancy vitamins should do the trick unless you have any ovarian conditions or hormonal imbalances. Do you chart your BBT? That's helpful if you have a regular cycle.

There are lots of other supplements you can take but if your fit and healthy then mother nature should spring a BFP on you soon. I take supplements for varois reasons but those 2 are good for fertility. Goodluck!xxxx

Isn't Royal Jelly pretty expensive? I read that bee pollen was good for egg production too :)

I've got to increase my intake of protein to help me with my eggies for IVF... errrrrrrrm... and that's pretty much it i think.

You sound alright to me - just plenty of sex just before and on ovulation and i'm sure it'll just be a matter of time for you ;)

Rubbish news that your 2ww wait ended in the witch. My DH took some stick last week too. Serves them right for having steady hormones the whole time!

Your cycle sounds like it doesn't need that much support - i agree with LouiseB, lots of BD around ov probably the best thing for it!

Good luck xx

I know I know but I cant have anymore sex than Im having! I cant help it... my DH is sijmply gogeous to me and I pounce on him soooo regularly!!!! hehe xx
Good Luck with the protein Louise - make those eggies PPPPeeeerrrffect!!!! x

LouiseB is on the dot- bee pollen is great too! Since I have had a BFP I just take the normal pg folic acid, omega3, bee propolis and royal jelly but before I was on others too but not recommended during pregnancy. The capsules do cost about £10 for 30 days worth so it can be costly over time as I was pill popping!

I will stop rambling but acupuncture is supposed to be helpful alongside IVF too. Good luck!xxxx

Sorry the witch got you hun!

Glad you're all positive though..

Agnus castus can help with short cycles too, have a Google.

xx

Ive started taking some natural vitamins from a homeopathic online shop, meant to be realy good to prepare body for pg and when pg.
I also started taking evening primrose oil this cycle, you take up to ov as it helps.
xxxx

Before I forget now I have BFP I will only be taking the sanatogen mother to be which is Folic acid and omega 3, heard mixed views about royal jelly and propolis during pregnancy so staying on side of caution. BUT it's still magic for fertility!xxx

I just wanted to suggest making sure that the Omega 3 isn't derived from fish livers.

I was on Max Strength Omega 3 and then my heart sank when in one of my IVF leaflets said to avoid fish liver supplements because they contain retinol which is actually vitamin A and you should avoid high doses of vitamin A during pregnancy.

It doesn't state it is vitamin A on the packet either... crazy or what
