Anyone know what my mate can claim? She is employed but has been on long term sick for a long time now so does not receive a wage/SSP from her employer. She claims incapacity benefit which is about 70 quid a week and thats all she has except child benefit. Her income to me is below the threshold for a single parent on income support. She also has a mortgage and needs help towards this.
I think you can get help with mortgage with income support *but* will the fact that she's officially still employed despite receiving nothing bar her from claiming?
