I'm pregnant, what next?

My pregnancy test said im 2-3 week pregnant, i'm booking a appointment tomorrow with my GP and then what? What happens next? When do I get my first scan?

If the test has said you are 2-3 weeks then you are actually about 5 weeks pregnant (this is because the date is taken from the first day of your last period not the actual date of conception).
When you see your GP he will do an ante-natal referral for you. You should see the midwife at around 10 weeks for a booking in appointment (where they will run through your medical history and do your blood pressure etc) and then your first scan is uaully around 12 weeks (this is your dating scan where they will confirm your due date).

All depends where abouts in the country you are.

Over here midwife booking in appointment is between 8 to 10 weeks. Scans start at 12 weeks.
Some places you see midwife at 6 weeks, some not until your 12 week scan.

If you want an early scan but had no MCs,problems in the past then you can book a private scan from 7 weeks
