I'm confused - AGAIN

I must come across so naive and stupid but all these appointments/tests really confuse me. I just got out my appointment card to write all my dates on the calender and my first one is on the 11th March and its the 'Triple Test' app - Can someone explain what happens at that? I've had all my blood tests and that so I'm just a little confused

Im pretty sure its for Downs Screening - its just a blood test I think, I had mine yesterday

Okaaay fab , thankyou! It's not that the midwife hasn't explained, everything just seems to go into a blur at the moment, I'm quite ditzy!!

yeah but if you get a letter from the blood tests saying ur bby is at risk of having downs you can have proper test where the needle goes in your belly to look at also by ultrasound its in the preg book i got given an i wont be having it done, she said if i dont want to have it done its up to me i dont even want the blood test, either way ill love my baby so i dont need test to prove there cud be something wrong.

Also having the other test not the blood test the other one cud be at risk of miscarrying so im def not having it. gl if you choose to want to know the outcome hun. blood test isnt so bad but i think its much common in older women apperntly x

Yee I don't mind having blood tests, they had to ask for my permission for each one and I just said tick them all, needles and that doesn't bother me especially as it wont do any harm to the baby. But like you if the test comes back as high risk I won't be having the test which could make me miscarry, I will love this baby whatever may or may not be wrong with it =]

i know you will hun, they didnt say it could cause miscarry but theres a risk an i cudnt go thru that again. Im sure youll be ok hun . smile an enjoy your pregnancy x
