If characteristic selection was a standard option, would you?

So you get told that they have created several embryos and if you want they can tell you what the characteristics are of each so you can choose which one to implant...

Which would be girls/boys.

Which would have blue/green/brown eyes.

Which ones would be blonde/brunette/red.

Which would be tall/short.

They are all equally healthy.

Would you take advantage off it or would you choose not to know? Maybe you'd change your mind after baby number one?

What would you base your selections on?

I personally think that i would leave the first one to be random (maybe tall) although i might be tempted after the first one to take advantage and choose a child that was more tailored to what i thought my existing child would benefit more from.

So if he's a boy's boy, then i might choose him a brother. Or if the first child looked exactly like me, i might go for one that looked more like hubby :)

Good question, I think I'd like it random to be honest, but then again if it was my 2nd child I'd opt for the opposite gender I think over anything else cos I'd like 1 of each :) x

I would love to have a boy as my first and a girl second (so her big brother could look after her)

I would choose to have a tall boy and short girl about my height (OH - 6ft2, me 5ft1)

Think thats all i would choose! random eye colour ect...

Good question - I'd go random. Just want a healthy bean :) Xx

I would just go random, if there was a chance I would love a girl! And pick a boy on the second one

I think I would go for totally random too. It's like the ultimate surprise isn't it? :D We're not even planning on finding out what sex it is if/when we ever get that far.

I'd opt for a girl as that's what I'd love to have (although I don't really care as long as he/she is healthy) and everything else I'd leave random and have as a surprise :)
