ideas needed

it's hubby's birthday on saturday and we've more or less decided on bowling then a meal, (unless anyone has any better suggestions?) but we're bored of leeds.

anybody know any nice (not stupidly expensive, but nice) restaurants in surrounding cities? sheffield for example? (not seafood, dh hates it lol).

or like i said, any other ideas?

there will be me, dh, the kids, my dad, plus my friend and her bloke.

What about York? You can bowl (located at clifton moor on the ring road) and then go into town for a meal. Pizza Express is a lovely old building right on the river. If not pizza, then there are loads of good places depending upon what you fancy.

edit : i've just looked it up online. it says there's a family pub within the complex called flying legends. have you been? it sounds quite good with an indoor play area for kids.
