i thought i'd lit myself on fire b4!

i was cooking broccoli and had poured the water into the pan and lit the gas hob, after a few minutes i could smell that singed smell when u get ur hair caught in the back of an old-fashioned (or cheap?!) hairdryer. i felt really warm too!
i actually went into the living room and asked my boyf "am i on fire?" he looked at me like this

i wasnt, thank goodness. i dont kno what the smell was!

Im terrible with the gas hob. Sometimes I think Im lighting the back ring and Im actually lighting the front ring, while leaning right into it
