My LO is starting to sleep longer at night but i'm not as my boobs are so full :(
This is the second night I have woken up drenched with boobs like watermelons, they are so sore.
What to I do? I don't mind want to express it as my pump is so noisy it will wake the whole house and I am so desperate for a good night sleep.
I know I should be grateful for so much milk but they really do hurt :(

im afraid all you can do is make sure theyre empty before going to bed and wear a bra with pads, your supply will adjust soon but it takes a good few days and you will leak and get engorged in the meanwhile. still happens to me in the mornings now that lo sleeps thru but it dosent hurt anymore. maybe hand express into a towel or cup to relieve pressure but if you express then the supply wont adapt

This happens to me. Avent do some breast pads that r designed for night use. I've used them for about 3 weeks now & not had any leakages. Maybe invest in some of those?

With regards to the soreness, u can always express a bit off to relieve the pain but I usually get Henry to feed from both sides which helps. He can't drain both boobs but it does relieve the pain x

Could you invest in a cheap manual pump. - or hand express - after a bit of practice I find that's often quicker than the pump. I express off as much as possible before bed, cos it means I'm comfier, and I then have a stash of expressed milk if I'm leaving her with someone. Xxx

On my iPhone - so cant see tickers :(

I would have thought that if you were to express the milk your body will think your baby has drank it and therefore keep producing it, whereas if you were to just bear with your body it will realise that it is producing too much milk and reduce and you should find it gets better. Sounds like maybe your milk supply hasn't yet fully established xxx Good luck :-)

If your baby's requirements are going down your supply will have to catch up. It happened to me a few weeks back when I was told to feed the baby less.

It will go in a few days. I tried to pump off as much as poss for supplies but that didn't keep it going very long either.
