In 2 weeks it is my Dad's 50th birthday and I really do not have the foggiest what to get him. He always buys himself anything he needs.

My mum has told me to buy him some fishing gear but I bought him that at Xmas and I really wanted to get him something that he could keep as it is his 50th.

Anyone got any ideas???Please.

He likes his gadgets and cars not really thought of a budget i'm quite prepared to spoil him seen as it's his 50th.

We did a rally driving experience for his 40th birthday thought of doing the same sort of thing again but would really prefer to do something special.

Gonna chuck a few ideas on here cos I am bored and have nothing else to do

If he likes doing a jigsaw there is this one which is in the style of The Times newspaper and you can choose the date so you could maybe get his birthdate done? (£34.95)

A bit of nostalgic fun... You Know Your A Child Of The Sixties When.. (£4.99)

Something to do with fishing... Lord or Lady fishing rights - You get the rights to fish at this place in Scotland which is meant to be amazing for fishing and also you get the title of Lord  You can even change your name officially to Lord so and so - bit of fun - this one is £45

If you really want to splash out this one is £169 but for a fishing fan sounds fantastic - Course Fishing with Ian Heaps - Former World and European Champion Ian Heaps is one of the best known Anglers in the UK and you get to fish at his own private lake complex and learn how to course fish from the master himself - Included in the price is a 4 star Bed and Breakfast and a home cooked evening meal, what a great affordable gift idea!

Good luck anyways

 YAY thanks for that i'll have a look into those :D
