i'd been waiting for this! no parcel postie to be seen this morning... i was about to give up hope on the regular postie too. then i hear something come through the letterbox and land on the floor with a thud. aha! that's no ordinary letter..... maybeeeee.....

with a little help from his mummy (who has to use all her self control not to rip the envelope open like a child on x-mas day) he sees if he can find out what it is...

quite chuffed with my first proper attempt at a rucksack carry, managed to avoid butt-poppage, ruben was happy up there, and it was comfortable for me!

had to put the camera on self-timer, so i didn't get pics from more angles - ruben wanted his lunch and i couldn't be bothered faffing with it!

not as scary as it sounds when you're used to it - i've been doing back carries for a while now with my mei tai (a different kind of carrier) but this is my first time with a back carry using this particular style of carrier (a short wrap)
