I had my daing scan today UPDATED WITH PIC

All is well with baby G, they put my date back a day so baby is due the 19th of May not the 18th. Baby wasn't playing at first, it was curled up so tight they couldn't get a clear pic or a measurement but after a bit, it got fed up of being prodded and started to wiggle about lol

I have my 20 weeks scan on the 6th of jan, which i now cant wait for. I have got to have a glucose test at 28 weeks as there is diabetes on both sides of family.

The consultant also more or less gave me the optiion of a C section because Olivia got stuck when she came out and he said that it "could" happen again, which i turned down as id rather try giving birth first an he seemed quite happy with that. He also said he wouldn't be offering me a growth scan towards the end at this point (the midwife said he might) as he said getting stuck isnt due to the size of the baby it can happen to any baby of any size but the will cheak me at 28 weeks and if they think i need one then they will give me one.

So all in all very happy, it seems very real now and im hoping my 2nd scan will come round fast. So all in all a good day

I will post the pic tomoro as i have only just managed to get on the lappy and im too tired to scan it on now.

tbh it all happened so quickly i didnt really know what was going on as i was on gas and air and was a bit out of it

I heard the buzzers go off an all the docs run in but it still didnt click, they just stuck my legs in the air and it was over as quick as it started

What happened was she decided to turn before i delivered her and she got her shoulder stuck behind my pelvis aparently its called "Shoulder Dystoia" which i never knew untill i fell pregnant this time.

DH said it was very frightening, specially when her head came out with the cord wrapped around her neck he said her lips where blue, he thought she had gone. Its funny cos i was oblivious to all this untill after she came out it was only when they took her to the corner of the room i realised there was something wrong. But like i said it all happened so quickly the docs and midwives where great and thankfully Olivia was fine

Thank goodness for gas and air! just as well you were a bit out of it as worrying wouldnt have helped.

I'm trying not to think of anything to do with actual birth yet, my mind goes from it being in me to being in it's moses basket - the middle bit is all a bit forgotton about right now.

Thats what im like, worry about it when the time comes lol

With Olivia i wasn't worried about the pain or bith at all i was more worried about how i would know when i go into labour :rotfl

Its a fantastic scan picture Kelly, im so so chuffed it all went well and the consultant appointment was a success too, I think your quite wise trying for a natural birth again, at least you know you can have a section if it gets bad again like before.

Roll on my scan now only 17 days its getting closer lol
