Well, i reached 10 days overdue thinking I was going to have to be induced on Wednesday.

At 4pm yesterday my cervix popped. It sounded like a bone breaking! Straight away I had an incredibly intense contraction lasting 40 seconds and then had 8 in 30 minutes. Got to labour ward at 4.50 and they sat me in the waiting room until 5.30!

Taken to birthing centre and examined, just blood pressure, temp etc no cervix checks.
Got in the pool about 6.15
6.45 I was given a bit of gas and air and at 7.01pm my daughter was born. We named her Megan Amelia and she weighed in at 8lb 8!

Got home just after midnight :) x
