...but what is an "implant" for contraception? A lot of you guys mention them on different threads and I have no idea... :oops: :oops:

Could someone enlighten me pls?

Yup. It's about an inch and a half long and thin. It's inserted about 4 inches above the crook of my arm. The thing that the doc puts it in with is a right contraption! It's like one of those needles that they take your blood with (A FAT NEEDLE!!) and the doc gives you a local anaesthetic in your arm to numb it before using that!

It's 100% effective :cheer: as I'm not ready for no. 2 just yet and last for 3 years although you can have it taken out whenever you want. What was good about it was that the moment it's out, you're fertile and ready for TTC unlike the jab which can take up to 2 yrs to get out of your system.
