to defrosting a bottle of breastmilk and giving her that.. she has been between boobs almost constantly for the last 4 hours.. my nipples hurt so bad! she will feed for 5-10 minutes then fall asleep for 5, then wake up rooting and screaming! surely she cant be hungry!?

i dont have any dummies and really dont want to give her one even if i did. she isnt bringing up wind anymore and is clean, dry, warm..

:wall2: help

i kno ur pain hun cos this was me 4 days after she was born, i gave her a dummy, n it worked for a hour, but ended up giving her a bottle of formula (my milk hadnt come in at this stage) and my god i had a baby transplant, she settled instantly, and my milk didnt come in until 9 days after, so 13days after having her,i expressed for 3 days every 3 hours as advised n only got 3oz ,

the formula saved my nips and my sanity,

could u try givin her a bath see if that settles her? n putin a cold flannel on ur boobs to cool em down?

good luck, xxx

ive been quite lucky milk wise, when it came in, it came in floods, so i have back up emergency bottles supply lol

she hated her bath at the hospital so im reluctnt to try again, especially on my own in the middle of the night.

i did just give her the teat of a bottle with my finger over the end so she couldnt get any air.. but she had a chew at spat it back out again cause she didnt get milk.. started screaming again so i put her on the boob, barely 3 mins sucking, just few mouthfulls and now she is asleep again in my lap..

sigh

gonna be a long night.

Strip her down to her vest, she may be too content once on you. Isla used to take ages to feed but is better now she's older.

Try rolling her on to her belly over your legs and rubbing her back, might be trapped wind too. Isla was a bugger day 4/5, barely slept at all then!

Remember to keep calm and if u need a few mins put her in her cot and let her cry. Xx

i managed to get her down for 3 hours, though i think that was just her hitting pure exhaustion lol have just fed her and she is fussing a little with this look on her face.. "Pick me up.. Ill cry.. I really will.. go on.. pick me up again" And she has hiccups >.<

Will try stripping her down if she does kick off again, only worry would be trying to redress a sleeping baby lol

I have to strip George down if room is warm so that he stays a bit more focused on feeding. redressing him is ok once he's nice a full.

For the first week or so Tegan was permanently attached to my Boobs she is allot better now though! like the other girls said i had to strip her down to her vest as she was gettin to warm and cosy and just goin to sleep x

Oscar wasthe same too. It lasted a good week or so and I think it was a comfort thing. I just let him get in with it lol and he soon settled into a routine. Xx
