soz about the title i dont kno if they are the same thing or not, lol!

has any1 ever successfully stopped smoking, lost weight, cured phobias etc with them? just curious

my friend went to one to give up smoking. she said she smoked about 30 a day  she went thinking it would be rubbish, she put her last fag out on his doorstep and hasnt smoked since.

Never tried it but i hear it is good for phobias. :D
My friend is going to hypno birthing? does anyone know what that is?

I bought a hypno birthing CD when I was 30 weeks PG and used to listen to it a few times a week, it was relaxing and I always fell asleep

I was so terrified of birth, I would cry for hours and get panicy thinking about it, but I must say once I went into hozzie to be induced, I was as cool as a cucumber. I handled it amazingly well, which surprised me and OH as I had been so scared before hand.

I think using the CD defo helped me

Id reccomend that you find a hypnotherapist with plenty of experience...it can take as little as 6 weeks to qualify.
It is an amazing experience, soooooo relaxing. You need to believe in hypnotherapy for it to work, you can not be hypnotised against your wishes.
You may be given a CD to listen to, this just reminds your sub concious what the hypnotherapist has already told it, id reccomend using the one you maybe given or sold.
I hope this helps

My Step-Mum is an experienced hypnotherapist. She holds workshops with Paul McKenna and I have to she definately has a high sucess rate of helping people. She also uses something called TFT as well which is so useful where you tap parts of your body - sounds mental but that really works.

Shes offered to help me out at the birth of my LO so Il let you know in about 6months what happens :D

Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) is amazing. I would definatley consider hypnosis!

My dad is terrified of flying and it is a real problem tyring to prganise a holiday for him and my mum (she wants to go somewhere hot). We rang a hypnotherapist who speicalises in fears and phobias, she quoted my dad about £550 to cure his fear of flying......he's since decided that he'd rather use the money to fly first class!!!!!!! (Typical man!)
