Hello all,

I was just wondering whether someone can give me some reassurance! My little girl is 9 weeks old and is still feeding every 2 -3 hours. My HV said that this is too much and I'm now worried. :( Does anyone else have a hungry baby?

Sorry I forgot to mention that I'm breastfeeding.

Ellie didn't go for longer than 3hrs (except at nights) until we started weaning her on solids. On some evenings it was every 1.5hrs as well as she cluster fed. Sounds completely normal.

I was always told to feed on demand and Brody still has days where he wants feeding every 2-3 hours! Don't worry hun if she is hungry feed her!

Grace was exactley the same at that stage............. it will get better .....

Austin quite often wants feeding every 2 hours (day and night!) and he's nearly 5 months. I can't stand HVs who say things like that, you're doing a great job! If your daughter is happy, that's what matters.

Sounds like Alex!!

have you thought about using formula milk as well as breast, its quite ok to use both and if you use the hungrier baby one which will satisfy her, you may find you get a better nights sleep

I have been giving her 2 bottles of formula a day for the last couple of weeks to give me a bit of a break, but will try the hungrier version.

Yes it's very normal for a baby that age hun. Gabriella was the same.
I just fed on demand. It can be very hard work and tiring but it is so worth it and it does get better. Well done
