I am officially on maternity leave and although I'm enjoying being at home and resting, I'd like to start doing something that could possibly bring in some money.

I was interesting in painting and then selling my paintings on ebay but right now I'd like to know how you ladies spent your time when you were on maternity leave.

Thanx
:D

It kills me to say but I will probably spend a few days of it doing xmas shopping :( otherwise wont get much of a chance afterwards! 4 more weeks of work to go...

I was always busy!

I spend loads of time trying to get EVERYTHING sorted before the baby came - gardening, cleaning windows, windowboxes, full house clean, sorting admin stuff (mortgage, insurances, pensions etc), writing letters, washing and ironing baby clothes, tidying and sorting, washing and rewashing nappies, filing, cooking meals for freezer for after birth - I didn't sit down unless it was to log on here.

I really really wish I'd been a bit more chilled out and slept more and watched more daytime TV!

knitting....AND I AM SOOOOO BORED!!! currently not able to work due to medical reasons!

I'm off too and all I seem to do is clean. My house always needs tidied, there is always washing, ironing and you have no idea how much dust and ming an open fire brings......... :wall:

And then of course, i'm always on here and facebook!

I would try and rest too as you won't get much chance once baby has arrived

My maternity leave started the day my waters broke. I wish I had some! But my best advice...........SLEEP!! Get as much sleep as you can because once bubba is here you will really miss it

i wasnt very productive during my maternity leave before melissa was born
i thought its my last few weeks of freedom ill lounge around in my pjs watching ricki lake and eating sweets and thats exactly what i did hehe

I worked full-time up until the week before Grace was born ......... and she was 6 days overdue !! At the time I felt great but in hindsight wish I had taken more time to rest and enjoy 'me' time..........

put your feet up and spoil yourself......... you certainly won't get anytime to do it once babba comes along :D :D

I spent most days on here  but also got my website up and running so I wouldn't have to spend much time on it after Ryan was born and the orders would start coming in.

Oh tell me about it, we have a fireplace in every room and it's driving me insane, all I ever seem to do is bloody dusting!!!

Well..

I guess if its your first you do the whole nesting thing, cooking, cleaning, etc..etc..

With this one my second, Ive reduced my two yr old hours at nursery and we spend a lot of time together out and about, doing painting drawing etc.

I think thats why I feel this time my pregnancy as gone really quick. What with ante-natal appointments as well, its keeps you really busy.

What ever you choose to do, enjoy your time cause you wont get it again..

So far, I've watched;

Charmed season 6 and 7

Final season of ER

Tru calling, season 1 and 2

American Idol, the last season

Loads of rental DVDs

Also, this website has kept me busy and 2 other sites that I mod on.

Got the last things for when bubs arrives. Also, been looking at apartments, reading my baby book and recently, sleeping alot since this week!

Scrapbooking!! I love it! Don't get as much time these days but they always look gorgeous! You could start by scrapping your wedding photos and piccys of when you met your partner or piccys of when you were both little, then add the baby in once here!

Definitely definitely rest as much as you can as you won't have chance to do much once baby is here

Momnats spot on. Sleep, Sleep, Sleep! You will so miss it in the first few months!

I had long lie-ins every day :D Also OH and I went for a weekend away to get some quality time before baby arrived. Oh and when I was bored I made some birth announcement cards to send out :D
