Baby is three months old and toddler is two. After being able to sleep through anything and everything, baby is now at that stage where if there is the slightest thing remotely interesting going on he will refuse to sleep. When in his car seat he will sleep in it in the car or on the pram, so going out isn't an issue.
At home on the other hand is a nightmare! He will self settle if I put him in his cot, and have it dark and quiet. And there is the problem. My eldest doesn't do quiet! If I bring him upstairs to play in his room while baby is asleep in ours, he is really noisy. If I leave him downstairs with the telly on whilst settling baby he stands at the bottom of the stairs yelling for me. I am sure he is being a little s**t on purpose because I've asked him before now to be quiet while baby is sleeping only for him to wander into our room with musical instruments or his fire engine setting the sirens off.
I purposely made my baby nap downstairs with toddler to get him used to the noise. But sInce becoming more alert he's having none of it! On the days eldest goes to the childminders, or when OH is home to take him out to the park, baby goes to sleep with no issues and happily naps for a solid two hours a time!
Any suggestions?!
