How reliable are ebay ov sticks?

Hi all

I was just wondering if anyone knows how reliable ov sticks are? I am using them for the first time this month and have been testing since Saturday but had nothing to show that I am ovulating yet. My discharge has increased over the last day or so but it is more creamy than egg-whiteish (sorry - tmi!!!). I think I am having mild cramps, more like period pains than just a pain in the side. One of those ovulation calculators said I should ovulate between the 18th and 22nd but I have had nothing other than the above to even indicate that I will/am. Can anyone offer any advice on ovulating symptoms because I am pretty new to this and am beginning to worry that I am not even ovulating, even though I have had 2 light periods since coming off the pill in April.

Many thanks! in advance

I have OV sticks from ebay (fertilityplan) and they have been ok for me.

I have only had 1 cycle since coming off bcp in June but when I first started using them, nothing, completely white and I did suspect they were not working. Then over the next few days a very faint line appeared, this continued for a few days and then all of a sudden one afternoon a dark line - almost if not as dark as the control line but not darker. Anyway the next morning still a dark line but by the evening, faint again! I could of easily missed it!

AF has just visited so i took an OV test (obviously knew I wasn't but wanted to see what result I got) and it was barely visabale again so it seem to be for me that they show just and just, a very very faint line for the most of the month but it does change when about to OV.

Hope that helps.

This was my first month using them and I consistency used them everyday at 2pm and on saturday I got quite a dark line, so I think they are great! Keep taking them at the same time each day and its bound to show up one of these days. Your calculator says you have another 2 days to go yet and you might even ov later than that too! So keep doing them :)

I find them really good as my surge builds up over a couple of days so I can easily pick up when OV is coming, some women however have a very short surge so need to test twice a day.

I've also tried the boots OV tests, not only are these horrendously expensive compared to the ebay ones but not nearly as sensitive (in fact I found them to be about half the strength of the ebay ones)

Thanks v much for the replies. I got about 50 of them, so I will keep using them at about 5:30pm-ish every day and see if anything changes! Fingers crossed it will and I am actually ovulating this month. I'm so worried about how messed up my body is after coming off the pill. It's rubbish!!
