How often does baby go to the loo?

Hello, this is Carina's husband here, she is fast asleep at the moment after bringing home our amazing little baby Daniel. He was born three days ago on the 13th (lucky for some )

Our question is, he is feeding very well now but he doesn't seem to have much activity in the nappy department - only a small amount of wee, and nothing more solid apart from a burst of meconium early on. Should we be worried? What is the normal amount?!

no dont worry. they poo out all the meconium in the first 2 days but dont eat much until the proper milk comes in- after about a week he'll be eating more and on milk (as opposed to colostrum) and he'll poo again- and it will be yellow and seedy rather than black and sticky.
