How often do you wash your.....

Just curious... after a discussion with my best friend today.
My SIL washes her towels after every use but doesn't even use bedding for her LOs! They just sleep on the matress and have the quilt with no cover! Weird logic IMO.

Dressing gown.... once a week

Nightwear (nightie/PJs).... dont wear but if im cold and do wear, once a day

Bras.... every day


and sleeping on matress sounds horrible, cant be nice and soft

towels i wash after every couple of uses. your drying a clean body/hair with them. I hang them over the bannister to dry and they are fine.

Dressing gown, not very often, but then again we hardly wear them anyway.

Night clothes, every few uses cause we dont really wear them for any length of time.

Bed clothes, near enough every week.

Bedding.... every week/10 days if I'm being lazy Don't have the baby yet but her bedding will be constantly washed!

Dressing gown.... every fortnight

Nightwear (nightie/PJs).... I have so many pj bottoms that I only really wear them once before I wash them

Bras.... new one everyday

Dressing gown, only gets used on weekends so once a month or so

Also to the person above who said about their friend who doesnt use bedding - i was watching houses behaving badly last week and the cleaning expert said its imperstive that the beds have bedding as you get bugs all in the quilts, pillows and mattress - he said germs fester quick in beds unless there cleand reguarly and the sheets and bedding etc is washed on a 60 degree wash reg.

I couldnt bear sleeping on a bed with no bedding eww!

Towels, some after each use or sometimes after a second use, we dry them over the heater here and if they r dry for the next day id use them for the second day then.
Bedding once a week or more if needed.
Bathrobe dont wear one.
Bra's well id wear a couple of bras through the week so id watch my bra mayb after every 2nd or 3rd day of wearing.
Pj i use a set for 2-3 days then wash them or if they really need done after each wear then id do them.

Bath towels - once a week usually, if I remember. Its a waste to wash them more I think as all they are doing is drying water off you. I think of the environment and the waste of washing something that only has a bit of water on it each day and gets to dry off in between. If they get grubby for any reason then I'll wash them sooner but otherwise not.

Bedding - Bottom sheet and top pillow cases once a week. Duvet cover and bottom set of pillow cases every second week. I flip it over in between

Dressing gown - I don't use it much. It depends, its been washed twice in 2 months recently.

Nightwear (nightie/PJs) - once every few days

Bras - I try to get 2 days wear out of them

bath towels get used twice then in the wash basket.

bedding about once a fourtnight on the next sunny day.. i really hate drying it in the tumble.. but obviously in the winter it usually ends up being done in there..

dressing gown.. whenever its dirty really..hardly wear it these days but did when i was preggy..so ahrdly ever now

bras..cor! about every 3 days lol...

Bath towels... depends if I use a towel for shower or my hair I often put it on radiator and use again next day if OH uses a towel he leaves it wet on floor and then I put it straight in wash!

Bedding.... about once a week depends how hot it is and if I think it needs doing sooner!

Dressing gown.... depends how much I use it at least once a month but if its used alot or looks less white then it should I'll wash it more often!

Nightwear (nightie/PJs).... once a week or so cause rarely wear it usually keep a nightie on my pillow incase I get cold in the night, in winter if I wear one all night every couple of days

Bras.... every 2/3 days unless it needs it sooner

I am really stunned they get washed so often by so many of you. I just think as they only have a bit of clean water from us on them and are then hung to dry, there is no need. If I was on a water meter I'd probably be even more frugal My environmental concerns kick in and I just can't do laundry like that.

Bra's - Probably 3-4 days use out of it. I can't believe most of you wash your bras after every use! Mine are never dirty or sweaty after 1 day.

Dressing gown - Every week cos I love having a nice bath and slipping into a cosy clean dressing gown before bed

PJS - probably after using them 2-3 times, I have tonnes of PJ's so don't wear one set for long before I move onto something else lol

Bra's - I'll wear one bra for a few days before washing it, it doesn't seem dirty after just one day?

Dressing gown- hardly wear it

we're on very strict water restrictions so I can't wash things like towels and bedding on a daily basis!
