How often do you see the midwife?

I have been seeing her every 3 weeks, but does this increase as of now? I go tomorrow for my 36wk check, will I not go until 39 wks or does frequency of visits increase?

I'm pretty sure it goes to two weeks here so I've got my next one at 34 then I'm 36, 38 and 40 then 41 if necessary (let's hope not!) x

Yes mine are the same - think it's less if this is not your first baby though xx

I have a question...When I had my 20weeks scan... the guy told me its no point seeing me if everything is fine...but they booked me for last appointment at 41.... till then no more seeing the midwife is this normal or should I have to go and see my gp and speak about it..

I have NEVER heard of this! I don't think that's right. How are they going to monitor your blood pressure etc, which can change at any time!

I'd definitely speak to your gp if i were you, you are not getting your entitlement! x

Maybe they meant no more scans or hospital appointments, not actual midwife appointments. It's definitely not normal to have no more midwife appointments hun!! You should be seeing your community midwife at something like 25, 28. 31, 34, 36, 38, 40 & 41 weeks!! Def check with your GP surgery as this is where your midwife is based from xx

P.S - oh yes and it is up to you to book these appointments via your GP which may be why you've not heard anything. I missed my 25 week appt because I thought they'd be in touch with me but got told later it is my responsibility

Oh thanks alot hunz....I was worried a little and confront to my mum and kept telling this is not normal..do lack of iron and I know myself very well.. will pay a visit to gp a visit to tomorro early..havent still had my GTT result as well.. usually result comes quick. thanks again ladies!

i see my midwife 34 weeks then 36 weeks then 38 weeks then nothing till 41 weeks. I have a section in the front of my notes that tells me when i should see her and its starred.

no not normal at all I am on my 6th and still see the midwie you need to have bloods done at 28 weeks and other weeks sorry i forgot exactly cause i anaemic i have to go every 2 weeks now for my bloods to be done, also blood pressure needs checking, I have a section in the front o my notes that tells me when to make my appointments and when i leave my appointment with midwife she tells me when to make the next one and i book it as i leave.
