How often are you feeling baby?

Hello Mummy2Adam,

I hope all is well with you. I'm 15 weeks today and since yesterday I have been feeling and unbelievable amount of movement from the little one. I am actually surprised how much and how early it is in my pregnancy. This is my first so I'm hoping I'm right! How about you?

X

Hi hunny Ive been feeling her quite alot up until today, she seems to be very quiet today, do you notice some days are more active than others? x x

Hi sweets, yes I do. For 5 days I didn't feel anything. I went swimming last night for a few hours and once Id finished all I could feel was constant movements and it's been the same today too. I was feeling a little concerned but I guess as I still am very early to feel 'kicks', little movements may go undetected if we're moving around a lot. I wouldn't worry! When do you tend to feel them more?

XXX

I tend to feel her during the day, she normally has quite significant movements but i cant decide whether ive felt my little princess today or not. Maybe shes moved into a different position or shes just having a lazy day, will keep an eye on her tonight. x x

I'm sure she's fine and having a lazy day! Did you have an early gender scan? :) xx

Thanks hunny.Yes I had a 4d one, it was brilliant, heres one of the pics, it was so clear x x

hi M2A where abouts did you have your gender scan done and how much was it i really want one done

I had it done in St Helens hunny, it cost £65 with 2 pics, then they were £5 for 2 extra ones. Ive booked another one for when im 25weeks hopefully she would of put some baby fat on by then :) x x

That's an adorable picture. Its come out really clear. Wow, that's such a cheap price! I'm getting a little worried as to whether my hospital given out gender readings at the 20 week scan! Eeeek.

Was she wriggling about during the scan? How long was it for?

I've been feeling movement for a few weeks, sometimes it can be up to 4 days without movement which happened on holiday last week...when I do feel movement its non stop all day, baby must like its lazy days.

She was being cheeky hiding her face in my placenta, then she was stretching out then tucking her legs up. It was the cutest thing ever when she was pulling her ears and sucking her thumb, it was amazing well worth the money.
She just wriggled :) im really tired today so im wondering whether she is having a growing spurt and thats why she quiet x x
Heres another pic of her using my placenta as a pillow :)

It's good to hear various experiences from mummies to be. I guess we can presume that each women to their own has different experiences; it can be effected by whether its their first pregnancy, the age of their unborn baby, its size, etc. I just hope you ladies have great pregnancies!

:)

That's just beautiful. It's weird to think how cosy they become in their. Us sitting here are so oblivious to their little movements. I wonder what my little baby is doing right now...? Pulling her ears? Haha, awwwww! Sounds like money worth spent, I'm going to look into it too. They say 4D scans are best after 28 weeks but yours looks great, may be a little eager and get one sooner!

feel mine every 2-3 hours depends if i am out or sitting down xxx

I read somewhere today that babies snooze for 14 hrs a day in the womb so maybe they are sleeping? Mine started about 16 weeks but it was very intermittent but last few days its been everyday but not all the time, he has 10 mins of wriggling then nothing for an hour or 2 then he'll go for 20 mins hiccuping, rolling or kicking, each time he has a kicking session he's in a different position either up by my belly button (they are the strongest kicks) or down right in my groin which are much lighter and harder to feel. So when its early days of kicking you might not always notice cos they are smaller and can still fit in places you might not feel, the placenta can cushion a lot of the blows. I read somewhere mw's are only concerned about lack of movement after 24 weeks I think so up until then its normal to go a few days without feeling them.

Ps gorgeous scan pic of the placenta pillow!!! I'd love a 4d scan oh won't let me!!!

Thanks Bunnykins for the info, maybe shes fast asleep :) x x

If i'm comfy and relaxed or driving, pickle has a good wriggle. the other one is when OH is talking to me, non stop wriggles then, haven't gone a day since 18 weeks without feeling something. Had a day where I was getting a little concerned, then the swift jab in my right kidney told me that little one had just turned around.

Hi guys I'm really worried. I thought I felt movements a few weeks back bur have felt nothing since but I've been getting "pregnancy cramping" after eating and when I bend down. Should I be worried. Xxx

Ems, you're quite early on baby will be too small to feel every movement, perhaps he or she has turned round and is facing your back, you won't be able to feel as much then.
